![]() Once it’s done, exit out of JKSM and Homebrew. Confirm and there should be a loading bar for a few seconds. Put the SD card back in your 3DS and open Homebrew and JKSM again. The program is pretty easy to use and self-explanatory (you can give yourself max money, max trainer points, all items, change houses, and change pets’ names). Find the DAT file in the “modded” folder (directory should be: SD Card>JKSM>Saves>Nintendogsandcats>Modded>Sysdata.dat). Launch it and select the Open option at the top. Download the Nintendogs Save Editor program here.*THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP* BACK UP THE “NORMAL” FOLDER! In case anything goes wrong you need to have a backup of your original regular save! Copy the “normal” folder somewhere on your computer and better yet also on the Cloud or a flash drive just in case!.The DAT file in the “modded” folder is the save file you’ll be editing. You’ll see the two folders you previously named, each contains a DAT file (this is your save file). Follow this directory: JKSM>Saves>Nintendogsandcats. On the card there should now be a folder called JKSM. Turn off your 3DS and put the SD card back into your computer. After you’re done, press B to go back to the main menu and select EXIT to return to the Homebrew menu. Select “NEW” again and this time type in another name for what will become the hacked save and enter it (let’s call it “modded”). It should now appear in the list (this will be your backup!). Then Select “NEW” and type in a name (you can name it whatever but for this tutorial I’ll call it “normal”) and enter it. A black menu screen will pop up, select “Save Data”.It should then show N+C selected, if not scroll to it and then press A. Launch the Homebrew program and open JKSM.Put the card back in your 3DS and insert the N+C game too. ![]() Download JKSM here, unzip and place the 3 files in the “3ds” folder on your SD card. Put the SD card back in your computer. ![]() After you’ve finished then go to the next step.
